Marching Band Shopping List

The Student Contribution covers personal expenses including meals during Band Camp and competitions, practice shirts/shorts, show shirts/pullover, and uniform cleaning.

The student marching band fee for 2026-27 at the early bird rate is $310/student, paid before 9/13/26. From 9/13/26 onwards, the fee increases to $360 to cover late processing surcharges.

Black shoes/gloves/socks are required for marching band competitions. The students may use their own black socks. Some band members do not need gloves. The Band room might have some used shoes for loan. Your child may have already ordered them from the Student Uniform Manager. Please check with them at first whether you need to pay for these items.

The suggested student contribution typically funds less than ~1/3 of the cost per Marching Band student. The difference in the budget, which covers coaching, drill design, music licensing, props, equipment transportation, and competition entrance fees, is covered by the Music Boosters with fundraisers and donations. We strongly encourage all music families to get involved, volunteer, and/or make donations to support SPHS Instrumental Music programs!
